It’s raw chicken, not cooked chicken, that is the problem.
On to the eggs. I think big-ag and the FDA wants to irradiate more of your food to sell you more drugs. However, there is a simple solution to this …

Sunflowers Add Amazing Perennial Color to Your Garden

Sunflowers are my favorite big flowers in the garden. They add so much easy fun and wonderful color to the organic garden. Blue Line PowerCost Monitor Measures Total Home and Single Appliance Energy Usage

We’ve been in our house for about 3 years now. My wife and I are eco-conscience and want to have the lowest impact on the environment as well as our wallets, so when our electric bill was consistently $125+ in the summer, I began to question what was going on. All of our appliances are energy star. Our refrigerator costs us a total of $32 a year to run. Lights that are on longest, such as in the kitchen, have CFL’s. We have the most efficient hot water heater you …

Why Garden Organically?

Why garden organically you ask? Gardening organically means different things to many different people. For me, it is about the health and well being of my family, friends, neighbors, animals and environment I live in. Eliminating the toxic pesticides and herbicides from your yard will help ensure a safer more vibrant home for everyone.  Going organic also helps the soil retain organic matter and living organisms that benefit your landscape. You will end up using less water, have less bug issues and have more nutrient rich soil due to a …

Polyface Farm

I first read about Joel Salatin in the Omnivore’s Dilemma. That was my favorite part in the entire book. I began reading more about Joel on various websites, then talking to an organic farming buddy of mine,  found out that he had written books. To me, he’s got the best set up in the country for sustainable farming. There are a few things people would like to argue about, but from livestock rotation to crop rotation, Polyface Farm is leading edge. “…healing the land, healing the food, healing the …
