Since all of the scare about contaminated processed foods came about in the past years a US Congress woman, Rosa DeLauro (“…is married to a political consultant. One of his biggest clients? Monsanto, the world’s largest agriculture/biotech company.“), has introduced H.R.875.

“Under the guise of food safety, HR 875, HR 814, HR 759, S 425, and S 510 will place unfair regulation on small farms, a key source of locally produced food for those people who don’t have the time or room to have a backyard garden. Small farms and the local food movement are not part of the food safety problem in this country; they are part of the solution and should be left alone.”

This bill is full of junk that adds all sorts of restrictions on the food grown by your favorite small farmer or even your neighbor. Typical federal control, or regulation if you like, of your freedom. If they take it all away, you’ll be safer. In reality, American’s need to start supporting their local organic farms and local business’ products not imported from all over the place.

Take a look at the Clean Water Restoration Act S 787 while you are writing your Representative about HR 875.

This is a sweet diddy.

Independence day is a huge day in America. It marks our freedom from oppressive rule by unjust government. Take the time to think about what is happening today in our current situation. Parties aside, it’s not right what is being done. A great book to read is Glen Beck’s Common Sense.

As the Declaration of Independence was being signed, 1776, Samuel Adams declared:

This is my first attempt at making a photograph look cool with HDR. I have a Canon T1i Camera that easily takes these photos using the Program or Manual modes.
